We are delighted to be supporting the NSPCC by taking part in Number Day on Friday 2 February 2024.
Number Day is a great way to make maths fun and bring about a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude towards it. We are having a fun day of maths activities and we will be taking part in Dress up for Digits. Pupils are asked to wear an item of clothing with a number on it (football shirt, cap, netball shirt or even a onesie!). Or get even more creative by dressing in a maths or numbers theme. To help raise money for the NSPCC, we are asking for donations, and we’d love everyone in the school to take part in this special event.

OPAL update Term 3
At the end of this term, we are hosting our second stay and play event, this time with a focus on den building in the adventure playground. If attending this event we are encouraging attendees to bring something they could use to help with den building if you have anything at home. Things such as tarpaulin, wooden poles, guttering that we could then keep in school for the children to use following the stay and play. If you are unsure what to bring or have any questions please speak with me.
Due to this, we are not asking for any other donations of items this term.
Finally, we are still encouraging children to use our whole site over the winter/spring period so it is important children always have waterproof coats and wellies in school so they can change their shoes and go into the adventure playground.
Mr Noone – OPAL LEAD.

Safe Parking
Please can we ask all parents/carers to take care when driving around our school and park safely. Please use parking around the common and walk to the school gates, dropping off children by our gates is dangerous and puts our children at risk.
We encourage parents with parking and driving concerns around the school to report this directly to South Gloucestershire Council Street Care Team who are responsible for the roads and safety around school. You can contact them:
or the police:

Holidays in term time
A polite reminder that we do not authorise any holidays in term time. We recommend all parents/carers read our Attendance Policy and are familiar with it. Our policy includes more details on this.
Please be aware that the school does not provide work for pupils who take holiday in term time.
