At Hambrook we are continuously striving to create an innovative, creative and forward thinking support for our parents and pupils at home. Our strategy for remote learning continues this. It is absolutely essential that we continue to provide for each child even if they cannot attend school for reasons set out by the Government's advice on COVID-19.
There are three scenarios that our Remote Learning Policy covers:
- A child cannot attend school as they have symptoms of COVID-19 and are awaiting test results or they are self-isolating because they have COVID-19.
- A bubble/group of children have been sent home because they need to self-isolate
- A class can continue to attend school but their teacher is unable to attend school.
Please read our Remote Learning Policy for more details.
EYFS Remote Learning
If I am in EYFS and my bubble has to close, this guide will show me (and my Mum/Dad/Carer) what my teachers will provide for me.
Year 1-6 Remote Learning
If my bubble has to close and I need to self isolate at home, this guide will help me (and my Mum/Dad/Carer) use our Google Classroom.
Day 1 Remote Learning Offer
Depending on when a class bubble has to go into isolation, the class teacher may require some time to get the classroom learning transferred to remote learning. Therefore, on the first day of isolation, you may be asked to try out some of these activities initially.
Children's Code of Conduct for Using Google Classroom
If and when one of our bubbles have to close, children will be using our Google Classroom Platform. A Code of Conduct for using Google Classroom has been created to ensure the safety of all our children whilst using this platform.
