Welcome to the summer term. There are lots of exciting events this term including the summer fair, sports days, cake sales and productions. We hope to see as many of you as possible at these events.
Thank you for your continued support
We are sadly saying goodbye to a few members of our team this summer.
Mrs. Martin has worked at Hambrook for 20 years and will be a huge loss to us. We wish you well in your retirement Mrs. Martin!
Mrs. Cranstone is leaving us in the summer and is looking forward to spending more time with her family. Mrs Cranstone has been at Hambrook for 11 years in her role as Deputy Headteacher and now Class Teacher.
Mr. Cox has been a great support to the pupils (and staff) of Hambrook over the past few years. He will be sadly missed but hopefully he will still come back in a role of supply teacher.
Miss Kemp is leaving us too. Miss Kemp has been our Y4 teacher this year and we know will be a big loss to our Year 4 children to not see her around the school.
Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to Hambrook!
We are pleased to welcome the following members to our team from September.
Miss Hussey and Miss George will join us as class teachers.
Mrs. Appleton- Smith and Mrs. Morgan-Hawkins join us as HLTAs (higher level teaching assistants) and Mrs. Carpenter will join us as an SEN teaching assistant.
All of our new staff members will be in school on our move up day on Friday 1st July to meet their new classes.

School Day from September 2022
A reminder that from September the school day will end for all pupils at 3.20pm.
Beginning of the school day from September 2022
Our main school gate is currently open from 8.40-8.55am for children to come into school. Our school day starts at 8.50am, so any child arriving after 8.50am are marked as late. Our current system is causing some confusion with some parents bringing children through the main office from 8.50am and some children coming through the main gate at this time. This also means some children are marked as late and others are not. To improve this, from September the school gate will be open from 8.40-8.50am. Any pupils arriving after this time will need to come through the school office. We hope this will stop any confusion and unfair treatment of the marking of registers.
Our attendance policy can be found on our website here.
We know many parents will be starting to purchase school uniform for September. Please support our school by following our school policy which can be found here. As a school we have very clear guidance on our website to support you in purchasing the correct items. Thank you for your continued support of our school.
#Hambrook1 and #Hambrook2 are sending Father Malcolm a really big thank you for taking the time to visit them and other classes across the school for helping them learn more about Islam, specifically the five pillars of Islam. https://t.co/olOwllzaag
What an amazing day had by all for our final Faith Day of the year! The children spent the day learning more about Islam with #Hambrook6 being treated to a close up view of a prayer mat. The children then used Islamic art inspiration to design their own prayer mat. https://t.co/rfSEAtqT1V
A huge thank you to one of our parents for coming in to do a Q and A about Islam and what being a Muslim means to her this afternoon. It was wonderful to see our school community learning about different faiths altogether on our Islam Faith Day. https://t.co/QqYEr9kvFP
